Our Nuclear Services office in Tiverton, ON, is looking for a Pipefitter Supervisor to support the project sites.
Summary of the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pipefitter Supervisor to lead and oversee pipefitting operations on-site. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of pipefitters.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Plan, schedule, and assign work to meet project timelines.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
- Inspect installations to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials inventory.
- Train and mentor team members.
- Ensure site and employees adherence to all Ontario Health & Safety Act requirements, checks, forms and other documentation.
Key Requirements, Experience and Skills
- 8 + years of proven experience as a pipefitter.
- Previous experience with supervisory or foreperson responsibilities would be considered an asset.
- Relevant trade Certificate of Qualification (CFQ) for pipefitter / steamfitter is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Solid understanding of workplace safety practices and regulations.
- Diploma or coursework in construction management, engineering technology, or related field would be considered an asset.
- Nuclear experience would be considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively and manage productivity.
- Experience with working under tight schedules and outages.
- Flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed.
