Our Nuclear Services, located in Tiverton, ON, is looking for a Material Coordinator to join our team.
Summary of the Role
The Material Coordinator will be responsible for the administration of the material supply process including: planning, reporting, coordinating and expediting in accordance with project schedule needs. The successful candidate shall have a strong knowledge and experience of sound Supply Chain principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand project schedule milestones and engage relevant parties to ensure compliance.
- Interface with internal stakeholders to ensure purchasing-related activities (Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, etc.) are maintained within the project schedules.
- When required, generate Purchase Requisitions for the review, approval, and processing by internal stakeholders.
- Engage internal stakeholders and suppliers to expedite processing of procurement-related activities, when necessary.
- Notify key internal stakeholders of any potential procurement related schedule risks.
- Ongoing maintenance of Company Material Tracking File (MTF) to manage/update the Company's Material Management System (MMS).
- Assist in the closeout of Purchase Orders.
- Travel may be required.
- Must be eligible for security clearance.
Key Requirements, Experience and Skills
- A college diploma in business administration, commerce, economics or equivalent.
- Knowledge of purchase orders, and supplier communication.
- Knowledge of multi-trade disciplines.
- Previous experience as a Material Expeditor / Coordinator, or Purchasing Agent is an asset.
- Previous work experience in the nuclear generation industry (CANDU) is an asset.
