Our Nuclear Services office in Bowmanville, ON, is looking for a QC Receiving Inspector to join our team.
Summary of the Role
Reporting to the Project Quality Assurance Manager, the QC Receiving Inspector will be responsible for performing quality control inspections on incoming materials for all projects and quality programs, ensuring compliance with applicable specifications, codes, standards, and company quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all receiving inspection on incoming material arriving at Nuclear Services locations.
- Reviews chemical and mechanical testing data on (Certified) Material Test Reports for compliance with ASME and/or ASTM material specifications.
- Assure incoming material is identified in a manner compliant to ASME and/or ASTM specifications and is traceable to applicable test reports and data.
- Assure incoming Electrical Items and Materials meet design and code requirements, including required electrical certification requirements.
- Assure all dimensional requirements for incoming material are met; this would include simple dimensional inspection and more complex dimensional inspection of machined parts and surfaces.
- Competently uses measuring and test equipment (e.g. measuring tapes, calipers, micrometers, ultrasonic thickness equipment).
- Complete and file E.S. Fox Limited receiving reports in accordance to the requirements of the ESFL Nuclear Services Receiving Inspection procedure and company QA Manuals.
- Data Entry: logs accepted material items onto common QC/QA drive.
- Complete E.S. Fox Limited receiving reports and uploads reports for inclusion in Installation and/or material history files/dockets.
- Identify non-conformances; promptly reports these deficiencies to the QAM and Purchasing Agent in accordance to the company non-conformance and corrective action procedure.
- Ensure responsibilities and accountabilities are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with E.S. Fox Limited. safety policy/procedures, ISO 18001 standards and OHSA requirements.
- Ensure that environmental aspects within sphere of responsibility is adhered to pursuant to ISO 14001 requirements.
Key Requirements, Experience and Skills
- Post-Secondary Education or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Working Ability in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Minimum 3-5 years of QC experience.
- Comprehension of Chemical and Mechanical Test Data.
- Data entry experience in an Industrial environment.
- Experience performing receipt inspection of Nuclear Class Pressure Boundary Material. and/or EQ Electrical Materials and Equipment.
- Experience with working with recognized material specifications (eg. ASTM).
